Westlake Village Golf Cart Community Petition
The Pinellas County Board of County Commissioners has designated certain neighborhoods as Golf Cart communities as a way to allow an alternative means of transportation within large neighborhoods and to limit the need of motor vehicle travel within a community, primarily for social events and neighborhood meetings.
The Westlake Village HOA has discussed the desire of the community to allow golf cart travel and has formally asked the County for consideration of this request. On March 17th the county will be distributing petitions to the entire community. The majority of the neighborhood will need to be in agreement for this petition to pass. The County has completed the required safety study of the neighborhood per Florida Statutes and has determined that the roads within the neighborhood would be conducive to golf cart travel and has developed a plan for the neighborhood’s consideration and endorsement. The plan identifies the boundary of the golf cart area. There will be no cost to you if you endorse the proposed traffic plan that would designate the Westlake Village area as a golf cart community.
The petitions are due back in 90 days (June 17, 2022)
